 There   are   approximately   370,000  daycares   in  the   United   States (Statistics). Being  a  daycare  worker  allows  one  to  interact  with  the  youngest  people in America. Preschool  daycares  provide  a  safe,  discipline,  and  educational environment  for  children  ranging  up  to the age  of   five.  The  number  of  mothers  joining the  work  force  increased  very  rapidly  during  the  1980s, especially  for  mothers  of  children under  the  age  of  six  (Eberts  7).  Most of what children learn, they learn from other people (Herr  19). Childcare workers need to understand the abilities and interests of young children. Social researchers have found the most important years in a child's development are those form one to six. Mothers today are aware of these factors and, wanting the best for their children, demand   the structure  that   preschool  provides.
