There is no proof either way. Microsoft benefited anyway from the “ Bug “, making millions of $ on new computer sales.
Y2K was an unbelievable anticlimax; millions were wasted where they could’ve been used for better purposes. Everyone thought Year 2000 would be big and it ended up being just like every other year. 2001(the true millennium), would be a better year to celebrate as the earth did not start at zero, but rather at 1.
