The Islamic, Aztec, Chinese, and African society all had some similar aspects in their views of women. All allowed women to own and inherit property. While only China had given women equality to men for a period of time. Lineage was based on the mother in Africa alone. The Aztec women were the only ones who could become priestesses. Islamic women had a guardian all of the time.
