The book the Great Gatsby is a good book for students to read. I think that the book shows students that even if they have a dream it might not come true. Fitzgerald was trying to show us the harsh facts of real life. I think that Fitzgerald wants us to read the book and not just accept that dreams are hard to achieve. The last thing Fitzgerald wants us to do is give up, he wants us to achieve our goals. “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past” (p.189). That is why I think students should read this book.
