very logical. It is not based on blindly believing its teachings. The Buddha himself urged his own students to not merely follow him, but to put his teachings to the test, study the way of the Buddha and realize the path for themselves. In the words of the Buddha, “No one saves us but ourselves / No one can and no one may / We ourselves must walk the path / But Buddhas clearly show the way.” (BDEA)
