…showed last 75 words of 416 total…none of them had ever seen a Martian before. Everyone began running away, and the being vanished into the pit. Later on in the night as the sun as setting, they heard a noise. As the aliens came out from the pit, people backed away. A great flame rose into the air and a light went towards a few men, great heat passed over them, and they were dead before they even hit the ground.
