There are also a number of physical affects of addiction. For the most part, the physical affects depend mainly on the substance or activity being abused but again, there are some physical affects that apply to addicts in general. Some examples include headaches, failure to perform proper personal hygiene, and sleep irregularity such as- no sleep at all or sleeping for days at a time.
