I watched the movie "Calendar Girls" directed by Nigel Cole. The movie takes place in Great Britain and portrays twelve women in their fifties. The women were members of Knapely WI Chapter, a women's organization for prim and proper local ladies. The organization focused on education and empowerment of older women.

During her life course she has just recently had to deal with the death of her spouse. As a result, grandma is less interested in cooking, cleaning and gardening. She doesn't have the desire to do these tasks when she without her companion. (She broke down into tears) Due to the death of her beloved husband my grandmother's perspective on aging is different without her soul mate.
