Microsoft can easily fix the raw socket exploit simply by releasing a software “patch” to limit to raw sockets, but I do not think that will happen. The Internet may be growing, but the threat of it grows along with it like a twin sibling. Microsoft should have reconsidered the raw socket support before implementing it into Windows XP, the operating system of tomorrow.
