Without TV children would read and imagine because no one would do it for them. Reading and visualizing trains to later imagine larger concepts and ideas. Sure there are thought provoking, educational programs on TV but it is just hard to weed through the traps of infomercial and shop at home networks to get to them. TV has destroyed the liberal arts education.
