for the most part realistic account of what could happen, or would happen if creatures from another planet invaded our Earth. This type of book is usually not my style and I would probably never walk into a bookstore and pick out a futuristic fiction book such as this one. But I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading The War of the Worlds, and I would recommend it to a friend in the future.
