In reaction to the medieval ideas of ascribed status and religious conformity comes Liberalism. …showed last 75 words of 1156 total…that telling us what to do cannot be far behind. The more I read of Friedman’s work the more I could see the America of today, and also the more I was sickened. This is what I feel should be challenged in the classroom. It’s slow and it’s subtle, but it is happening. It is exactly what each and every one of these writers feared would happen. Will we let it continue?
