In conclusion, earthquakes and hurricanes are both terrible natural disasters. It would seem that earthquakes have that element of surprise that makes it more dangerous than a hurricane, but by no means should one be taken more lightly than the other. During and after both disasters, people should be prepared to fulfill the full meaning 'to survive'.
