“Twelve Angry Men,” a play originally by Reginald Rose, later adapted to film by Sidney Lumet, is a story not only about the outcome of a trial for a Puerto Rican youth charged for his father’s murder, but also about human nature and how the certain attitudes and beliefs of the jurors lead to the eventual acquittal of the case. Twelve Angry Men” not only addresses the ideas of court etiquette and literary drama, but also group, social, and other influences that affect the jurors in their decision. Each one of the jurors, no matter what group they are classified in, are affected by at least one of the above factors. Due to the validity and power of these three ideas, theoretically in the play and movie, an innocent man’s life will be spared.
