Stories of the survivors based on the letters, mementos, and personal effects will continue to captivate society. Biel mentioned a man named, Charles Haas, who was the co-founder of the Titanic International saying, "Charles Haas…agrees that the tragedy offers an alternative to a world where the evening news presents nothing but mayhem and inhumanity" (1). In Haas' view, the Titanic story "shows people what we can be capable of" (2). The Titanic story will never die.
