George and Sallie's parlor furniture were found in Nashville and the home is filled with furniture from area Polk homes. Original portraits of George and Sallie hang in the reception hall to once again greet their guests. It has been opened for tours in past years, but Mr. Evans and his wife Denise have recently retired and have placed the home up for sale.
