Kate Chopin used the application of a severe thunderstorm to depict the ambiance of the story. Without this use of the setting and atmosphere, the story would have less emotion and passion. In conclusion, the use of the violent weather was a wonderful way to portray the mood, tone, and parallelism in ?The Storm?.
