It wasn’t exactly the second runner up for the Best Picture Oscar, but Starship Troopers was a trifle more creative and meaningful than the gory and trashy appearance it first showcases. It is about a group of friends who are all drafted to go to war against the evil Bug army. …showed last 75 words of 1126 total…The Bugs had no sense of death, fear, or cruelty, so they fought with the understanding that killing the enemy in anyway was good. It’s a very unpleasant story to tell, like the movie was to see. Our history has had some horrible things happen. This movie showed, in it’s own metaphorical way, some of the horrible stories which World War II has to offer, and some of the good ones as well.
