His Influence had spread far and wide, and these places that had now been assimilated in the Greek philosophy became known as “Hellenized”. Poverty was widespread. In Egypt babies were left outside to die, and were collected by the state as saleable articles. Still the belief is that the scientific benefit outweighed the human loss, so the Hellenistic Age was written down in history as a successful and prosperous time.
