Although Margaret Cavendish’s attitude points towards an ignorance preference, she concedes to the beauty and wisdom of the forest. Andrew Marvell focuses on the wholesome beauty of the garden and the awesome trees. Both use the Garden of Eden to make seemingly different points, but in actuality, the purposes of the Eden metaphors are quite similar.
