Focused on his own loneliness and journey, Gilgamesh cared not because of Enkidu’s death but because he wouldn’t have anybody to rely on. The friendship bond made Gilgamesh go for the quest of trying to bring his only friend back but with little hopes, since he knew it wouldn’t be possible, but he will make the impossible possible.
