Sometimes fights and arguments arise between two people because of their differences, and sometimes because of their similarities. The Crucible, written by Arthur Miller, is basically about a struggle between the protagonist, John Proctor and the antagonist, Abigail Williams. Also, had they both not been so stubborn and headstrong, one might have given into the other, thus ending the entire situation long before it started. However, neither of these ever happened. And so, The Crucible is a sad story about a tragic hero and a selfish irresponsible teenager whose entire struggle arises from both their similarities and differences.
