Social theorists seem to agree that language is a determining factor in the formation of an individual's identity. Though they have varying perspectives on exactly how it is utilized, they still stand on common ground. Community and culture are also by-products of these language-manufactured identities, and in return, they promote language. It is an ever evolving cycle of events that leads to social evolution and social change.
