This discussion has shown that the media’s assessment and willingness to blame social workers is unfair and ill-informed. What has become apparent is that without moving forward in some way amd making some fundamental changes to the way in which our social work departments work and how the liaise with other departments and authorities. Cases of children failed by the system will continue to occur.
