He abuses the power of the Roman Catholic Church by preaching and acting devoted while he breaks his own messages of God. Either by his own ignorance or deep denial Tartuffe continues to be hypocritical by breaking the most basic laws of the Bible. The laws he tries so desperately to impress upon Orgon’s family.
