they have a certain force that bonds them together which cannot be defined. The narrator does not know why he is so attracted to taking care of Bartleby. He realizes no matter what he does and no matter what happens, this bond between the two of them is inseparable. The narrator realizes that even though Bartleby played a small and short role in his life, this experience will never part from him throughout his life.
