Rough emotions of the heart are all too common for the author. The “troubled regions” in which she lives signifies not only the physical elements of the storm, but also the harsh spirit she has been forced to live with for the past years. She can only avoid these feelings by closing shutters and doors, but it always finds its direction to her. In time, the author learned to live with the storm.
