Should or shouldn’t Japan apologize for it’s actions in World War II?
Japan has done some really dumb things in it’s past, along with the US and a lot of other countries. What makes Japan’s past an issue is that it has yet to apologize, for the use and abuse of Philippine, Dutch, and Chinese women as ‘Comfort Women’; The Rape of Nanking, and many other things. imperialism and honor are taken to extremes. But doest that mean the Japan can just push all of it aside and pretend that it didn’t happen? No, it means that it should never happen again. Japan not only has to acknowledge that they did some really terrible things but apologize for it and do it in a way that shows that they really mean it. Apologize and forget? No, know one must ever forget.
