Live theater is an excellent way to train an actor to maintain seriousness and discover the fundamentals through trial and error, instead of constantly being able to laugh it off and begin the scene again. Although it's indisputable that both types of actors must work very hard, live performers possess a certain type of talent that many screen actors don't have.
