In Jane Austen's book 'Pride and Prejudice', most of the characters are shown to be lacking in commonsense, self-awareness and consideration for others. This is particularly evident in the characters Mrs Bennet, Lydia and Mr Collins. Their actions throughout the book illustrate them to be essences of stupidity, self-importance and inconsideration for others.

Mrs Bennet, Mr Collins and Lydia are abundant in their lack of commonsense, self-awareness and consideration for others. However, it is these negative attributes that cause the complications in the book and help the story to flow. It is from them that we can reflect on the consequences of wrong doings, and learn from their mistakes as well as our own in the real world.
