According to my parents, there was an old native called Pi who lived in this area a long time ago. He was the chief or leader of these people and they would praise him by saying “Pihuamo”. Ultimately, the natives were trying to say “Pi” “Amo”, which mean, “Pi, I love you.” This phrase was very common in this village, so the residents adopted this name. There is no exact date
