“The Banking Concept of Education,” written by Paulo Freire explains two different types of education. The first of these two types would be the “banking” concept. In the “banking” concept the teacher is assumed to know everything, and the student to know nothing. …showed last 75 words of 391 total…child, when I would misbehave I got punished. The interaction with my mother through punishment taught me not to do it again. I believe this concept has the same effect in a classroom. Both “banking” and “problem-posing” concepts have the capability to educate students, but the “problem-posing” concept seems to work best for me. If society took a deeper look into the concept of teaching, I believe students could get more out of a classroom.
