Othello came out and caused him to kill Desdemona without even thinking. As the play concludes, all causes of jealousy are proved false. Othello realizes in the end that Desdemona was never unfaithful to him. But he realizes it too late and then kills himself. Jealousy is the source of pain and death for these tragic characters. The green-eyed monster, that is jealousy has succeeded in killing the characters that have been affected by it.
