In many of Shakespeare’s plays he has created villains, criminals and distractions. These people or things, posses all of the bad characteristics of something that make people cringe. In Othello, Iago is the most appalling villain. He is told to be such a bad villain because he can manipulate people, seeks revenge on anyone who angers him, and does not care for the emotions or lives of others.

Iago is an appalling villain created by Shakespeare. He has no morals and does not respect human life. His horrible ability to manipulate people, always seeking revenge on others and disrespect for human life has made him a criminal. Iago is one of the most heartless characters created by Shakespeare.
