These two works are comparable in that the moral of the story is displayed through description, and use of anecdote.. The major contrasting element between these two works is that morality is viewed completely different between the two texts. Both writers intend to do this in their respective works. Each of these stories have the element of anecdote to influence the reader into receiving their message. Be it short prose or long novel, schematically these two stories are told with different messages, however are gone about to achieve the same result.
