The people of colonial times, otherwise known as separatists, were extremely religious. They greatly believed that God decides the fate of people based on their actions. They hoped that God would lead them to the New World safe, so they never gave up and always kept their faith in God. Even through all their hardships they believed that God would cause “good” to come to them in the end.
