Of course, humor comes in many different shapes and sizes, so with or without the southern idiomatic dialogue, the movie could, would, or should still be humorous, but the affect would be different toward the audience. All in all, the importance of language and word choice and the affect it has on any type of writing is an important aspect to be conscious of.
