Norms are defined as the expectations, or rules of behavior, that develop out of values. For this project, I was required to violate a norm. The norm that I chose to violate was to push my sister Nicole through the Wal-Mart store in a children’s ambulance buggy. left the register and walked out of the store, pushing Nicole in the buggy all the way to the car. There were really no more reactions, other than a stare or two from passers by, which I had become fairly accustomed to. We ended our norm violation by getting into the car and leaving. It was fun, but I don’t think I have ever had to work so hard to keep a straight face.
