Nanak
This first god, or what they called Guru, was Nanak. Nanak was born in the year 1469 in a village known as Talwandi. Later it was changed in honor of him, it was called "Nanak's Place".

One of the top five. So you can say he was successful. His successor later became Angad. His son left and betrayed him. That's why he wasn't his successor.
