“Macbeth”, the damage done was too severe in the end. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth could not live under
the strain of the false appearances they created for themselves as the lies began to unravel. Macbeth
becoming king is the one thing they think will make them happy, but it ends up destroying them
because they lie and kill to get it.
