Macbeth was actually a great king that ended suffering badly at the hands of Shakespeare. The two-week long play came from a long 30 year period. It can be seen that this line of kings is much in difference to that of Shakespeare’s. It is as though the two share nothing in common except as for characters’ names. Shakespeare’s Macbeth and the true Macbeth led surprisingly different lifestyles.
