Getting Away With Murder
Perhaps the biggest setback for Macbeth on his quest for glory, is the fact that he is human. No completely human man could complete the deeds that he did without it playing havoc on his mind. Coupled with the influence of Lady Macbeth, he is put in a very dangerous situation.

the guilt and the blood that is not there. Her deed eventually leads to her suicide. This seems like the only choice for a woman so crushed by her own mind.
Lady Macbeth and Macbeth’s co dependence was a key factor in this play. It might have been possible to get away with murder if they were both strong. But soon their own human flaws brought them down. This makes them truly tragic characters.
