its innocent behind on a tree”, “Heard the splash, the forsaken cry” and “white legs disappearing into the delicate green water”.
I related to this poem well because of its freedom of style and its use of visual imagery. I also like how, underneath the commonplace language was a serious theme or a deeper meaning. This poem is a far better example of what I have attempted to achieve in my own poetry.
