During the second half of the sixteenth century, a series of religious reformations broke out in Central Europe. Many people began to have different views on the Holy Roman Catholic Church, especially on the subjects of political authority and social order. Two important leaders of this time rose to show their beliefs within God’s society and world, and they guided the way for others. These two men were Martin Luther and John Calvin.

These two men both achieved great results that would set forth advancements for centuries, but they managed the details in their own ways. Martin Luther was more concerned with his own spirituality, so he set example by changing himself. Though
Calvin turned to the changing of society and government structure. They both believed in be saved by God’s grace, just in different ways and ideals.
