Through out time, leaders have possessed many different qualities and characteristics that made them effective and efficient leaders. Many of these qualities are represented in characters, in the book, “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding. The protagonist, Ralph, starts off as the leader of a tribe of boys, but then, another boy, Jack, overtakes Ralph and the tribe, becoming the leader. Jack’s style of doing as you please, works at the moment, and only at the moment. He caused many fatalities, and caused none of his tribe to be rescued. Both of their styles were effective, but eventually, Jack’s monarchy failed.
