Ralph and how much he wants to kill him. When Jack starts going after Ralph and is actually trying to kill him, that right there is his downfall.
In the end, Jacks loss of innocence is his fault but he’s only human. It is human instinct to change morally if cut off from civilization, it would drive anyone crazy. Jack couldn’t help changing but he could have controlled the way that he changed
