<Tab/>Illusions are all over, and Mark Twain must have realized it because he makes it obvious in his writings. His being a humorist as well as a realist made it easy for him to show the way he felt about the world at the time of his writing. Hadleyburg has a lot in common with America today, the illusions of invulnerability, equality, and incorruptibility.
