Communist rule. Many of the US’s protective policies were beefed up quite a bit such as with the Taiwan. The relations between the US and China went sour. They were hindered a great deal. Japan resulted in becoming an economic and technological superpower, not many resources though. The war also got the red scare booming in the 1950’s. The war basically changed almost all of our previous policies. It changed a lot of things.
