He is one of the great Mexican avant-garde painters. He studied at the San Carlos Academy in Mexico City, and since he was very young, he was a plastic interpreter of the revolution; as we can see in the political and social topics developed in great mural compositions.

…showed last 75 words of 1420 total…presented 6 exhibitions in that institution, as from 1943. In that of 1947, he showed the series "Los Teules", related to the conquest of Mexico. He worked as etcher in 1935 and in 1944, and lithographer in 3 periods: 1926, 1928 to 1930, and 1932 to 1935.
In 1946, he received the National Prize of Arts. He was inhumed at the Illustrious Men Rotonda. There are collections of his drawings and easel paintings at the Orozco's Museum-Workshop in Guadalajara and the Carrillo Gil Museum in Mexico City.
