Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is one of the best known tragedies in the world. When all the facts are analysed the only conclusion that can be drawn is that it was about two infatuated teen-agers who did not know what they were doing. because they jumped to conclusions before they could logically analyse the situation. If the pair were more open and honest with their parents, chances are they could have finished with a ‘happily ever after’. To me it is just another teenage suicide, the cause: a crush. This does not make sense; a life is not worth lust, a relationship spanning two days. Therefore it is not sympathy, but pity I feel towards Romeo and Juliet.
