If the pair were more open and honest with their parents, chances are they could have finished with a ‘happily ever after’. To me it is just another teenage suicide, the cause: a crush. This does not make sense; a life is not worth lust, a relationship spanning two days. Therefore it is not sympathy, but pity I feel towards Romeo and Juliet.
